2. Core Principle: Fully Offline Processing

MedVoice is a fully offline application. After the initial download of the AI models, no internet connection is required. All features – audio recording, transcription, and AI summarization – are performed locally on your device.

3. What Data Is Processed?

• Audio recordings: Recorded locally and stored on-device with AES-256-GCM encryption.
• Transcripts: Generated locally by the Whisper speech model on your device.
• Summaries: Generated locally by an on-device AI model (Qwen3 4B).
• Patient names and notes: Stored exclusively on your device.

4. Data Transmission

MedVoice transmits no personal data to external servers. The only network connections occur during the initial download of AI models from HuggingFace (open-source model library). No user data is transmitted during this process.

5. Encryption

All stored data (audio, transcripts, summaries) is encrypted with AES-256-GCM. The encryption key is securely stored in the iOS Keychain and never leaves the device.

6. Automatic Data Deletion

You can configure automatic deletion of recordings after a set number of days (1 to 90 days) in the app settings. You can also manually delete all data at any time.

7. No Analytics, No Tracking

MedVoice does not use analytics frameworks, tracking libraries, cookies, or advertising SDKs. No usage statistics are collected.

8. Permissions

• Microphone: Required for audio recording. Permission is requested before first use.

No additional permissions are required.

9. Your Rights (GDPR)

Since all data is stored exclusively on your device and is not accessible to us, you have full control over your data. You can:

• View and delete all data in the app settings
• Uninstall the app (deletes all data)
• Contact us with questions at info@block-builders.de
